Perfectly located in Canada Water and Central London. The 1900 century Pump House was converted in 2000 and extends over 4 floors. It's arranged with a neutral décor and a subtle African theme. The top floor (4th floor) is penthouse style with a king size bed & en suite, sky lights and small roof terrace. Total size is approx 30sqm The ground floor (first floor) room has bi-folding doors which lead into a lovely private decked garden with a BBQ. The whole house can accommodates 8 people (two per room) but on request we can have up to 10 persons for an extra fee. The gated property has parking and a walkway to the Canada Water tube station, which makes it ultra convenient for Central London, Stratford, the Olympic Village and all London airports. There is a nearby shopping centre with a large supermarket Tesco, Starbucks, clothes shops and chemist.

The ground floor, kitchen and lounge have wooden floors, neutral walls and double doors onto the court-yard which captures the evening sun.

Tourist sites in the area: The Pump House accommodation is just a stone's throw from London central, from Europe's most popular business airport - City Airport, Europe's fastest growing business district - Canary Wharf and one of Europe's largest music and entertainment arena, The O2.

The ever popular West End Theatre's, shops, bars and restaurants are just an easy 20 minute tube/train journey away, whilst many of London's newer attractions, venues and hotels can increasingly be found in London's dynamic Eastside. St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London and Tower Bridge, London Dungeon, Tate Modern, HMS Belfast, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament are all so close by and ready for you to visit. London Bridge, the Tower of London and Waterloo station and the London Eye are a 5-7 minute tube ride from the Pump House. Brunel Museum, Rotherhithe was the location of the first under river tunnel close to Pump House.

The Excel centre is minutes away via the Underground Jubilee line tube and DLR train

LOCAL SERVICES FOOD - Your nearest food shopping is a local Sainsbury’s which is situation behind the tall Ontario tower as you look out of the kitchen window. Sainsbury’s has most foods, bakery, and alcohol. There is an ATM next door to Sainsbury’s. and in the train station. Sainsbury’s is open from 7am – 11pm everyday Mon-Sat Sunday 11am-5pm. Nisa supermarket – open on Christmas day and opposite the Rotherhithe tube station. Tesco Extra - a large supermarket 5 minutes walk from the house on the other side of Canada Water Lake.

SHOPPING CENTRES - Surrey Quays Shopping centre – 5-minute walk from the house. It has a Boot’s Pharmacy, Holland & Barratt, Burger King and Tesco supermarket. Tesco is open 24 hours but closes at 10pm on Saturday evening and reopening at 11am on Sunday. Canary Wharf Shopping One stop on the Jubilee line to Canary Wharf. Follow the signs. Westfield Shopping Centre Stratford The new Olympic Park Shopping centre very conveniently located next to the Olympic Park. To get there, take the Jubilee Line from Canada Water to Stratford and follow the signs.

LEISURE CENTRE & FITNESS - The Seven Island leisure centre is the best swimming pool (33m) in the area for fitness. It has a gym, yoga and Pilate classes plus other fitness classes.

WALKING - Southwark Park is a 5 minute walk from the Pumphouse. The River Thames is a 4-minute walk from the house. Riverside walking to Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, London Bridge and Greenwich is wonderful. The Shard is about a 30 minutes walk from the house.  

TRANSPORT - The Canada Water Jubilee line underground and bus station are a 1-minute walk from the house. To get there turn right out of the front door and head for the wooden gate on the right. Once out of the gate, turn right down Albatross way towards the station. You can see the station from the kitchen window.

BOROUGH MARKET – Renowned Food Market - Historic, quaint and interesting. We love it there. Great for coffee and just hanging around tasty the foods! At Christmas the smell of mulled wine is lovely! Full Market Wed-Thurs – 10am-5pm Fri – 10am-5pm Saturday 8am-5pm For Lunch - open Monday-Tuesday 10am-5pm
